  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in egg yolks and vanilla.
  5. Mix in flour and salt.
  6. Press dough onto the greased cookie sheet. If the dough is sticky, lightly dust the palm of your hand before pressing the dough onto the cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dough is golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately pour chocolate chips on top of baked dough.
  9. As the chocolate chips melt spread over the cooked crust with a spatula.
  10. Cool for 1 to 2 hours, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  11. Cut into 1 or 2-inch bars.
  12. The best way to cool the bars is to stick the cookie sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Comments

Makes approximately 4 dozen 1-inch bars.

If you are in a hurry, you can cool the cookies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour. The only down side to this is the chocolate may cool too quickly and will look a bit cloudy.
