Grandma's Famous Fruit Bars

Ingredients
Butter:
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Brown Sugar, Honey, Molasses:
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons molasses
Eggs:
Dry Ingredients:
- 1½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
Raisins, Orange Zest and Walnuts:
- ⅓ raisins
- Zest of 1 small orange (2 teaspoons zest)
- ⅔ coarsely chopped walnuts
Orange Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 teaspoons fresh orange juice
- 1 to 3 teaspoons hot water

Preheat oven to 350°.
- Butter sides and bottom of 13x9x2-inch oblong cake pan and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients; set aside.
- In a medium saucepan melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove saucepan from heat.
- Add brown sugar, honey and molasses to the melted butter and stir in.
- Whisk the eggs in a small bowl.
- Add the eggs to the saucepan and whisk to incorporate.
- Using a spatula, stir in the dry ingredients.
- Mix in the raisins and walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until just barely set and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Leave in pan and cool on a rack.
- Prepare the orange glaze:
- On low heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan.
- Remove from heat and whisk in confectioners sugar and orange juice.
- Whisk in 1 teaspoon of hot water at a time, until the glaze is smooth and will drizzle from a spoon.
- Quickly pour the glaze over the bars using a spatula to evenly spread over the top of the bars.
- Allow icing to set.
- Cut and serve.
