Steamed Rice
Ingredients
Rice:
Water and Salt:
- 2 cups water
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
Instructions

Rinse and drain rice.
- Add rice to a medium saucepan.
- Add water and salt.
- Bring water to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer rice for 15 to 20 minutes, or until water has been absorbed.
- Serve.

Makes approximately 3 cups of rice.There are many varieties of rice to choose from. You may need to try a few before finding the right one for your cooking needs.
Most varieties of white rice are cooked using the same ratio: 1 part uncooked white rice and 2 parts liquid.
Serve steamed rice with Sweet and Sour Meatballs or Chinese Fried Rice.
