Middle Eastern Steamed Rice

Ingredients

Rice:

Water or Chicken Broth:

Butter and Seasonings:

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the rice.
  2. Add rice to a medium saucepan.
  3. Add water (substitute chicken broth for a richer taste), butter, turmeric, and salt.
  4. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve.

Comments

Makes approximately 3 cups of rice.
